Our Story

The foundation of Bruce G Jones Forest Products Ltd. has been built on the premise of hard work, honesty, and respect for our employees and customers we do business with every day. From a cable skidder in 1989 to over 3 decades later, our growth has been a result of being customer-focused, employee-based, environmentally aware, and market-driven.

As part of the Bonnechere Algonquin First Nation (BAFN) community, we are very aware of the culture; concerns, and challenges of First Nations People have dealt with in the past. We are very cognizant of the path and associated obstacles that will require a tremendous amount of work to overcome going forward.

Bruce G Jones Forest Products has deep experience in all facets of the forest industry, including harvesting, loading, log hauling, forest road construction and maintenance. We also perform land clearing for development, right away clearing, and grinding and grubbing. This makes us the “Forestry Contractor” of choice for any project large or small.

Our long history of purchasing standing and roadside timber from private landowners has kept us constantly aware of changing markets. The importance of maintaining long-standing business relationships with leading industry participants has led our company to maintain 30+ employees and contractors.

Company safety, related training, and respect for the environment are pillars that our company has been built on. We are proud of our safety record, and environmental practices, and while always remembering any and all success starts with having well-trained, highly-skilled, experienced employees.
